Do you even selfie?
Ever criticize yourself for everything? Pointing out failures, mistakes, flaws, imperfections, things that could and should just be better?
It’s so easy to do that. So easy to get caught up in your thoughts only you know about. So easy to think you’re not good enough, worthy of anything, and unqualified.
It’s easy because that’s what the world teaches us, it’s what we grow up in.
We’re quick to point out our failures and mistakes because getting to our dreams goes against instant gratification.
There’s a process.
We get an idea and quickly shut it down because we’re “not there yet” – or we’ve had dreams since we were so little but aren’t living them out today because, well, we just “can’t.”
Who told you can’t do it?
What is it that’s holding you back?
Take a step closer to your dream today.
Whatever that looks like.
If you really want it, nothing can hold you back.
Train your mind to believe that you can do it.
No wonder Apostle Paul says to renew the mind. To retrain your thought process. You’ll think you’re not good enough because the world taught you that. But why continue believing that?
You’re more than what the world sees. You’re more than what your body looks like, how you sound, or how you feel.
Go against the flow of negativity and BE who you’re called to be.
You are the salt of the earth… You are the light of the world. A city situated on a hill cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and puts it under a basket, but instead on a lampstand, and it gives light for all who are in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven. Matthew 5:13-15
You are the LIGHT.
So, BE!
